At Core States Group, our Value of Service is a commitment woven into our culture. Through our Days of Service program, every employee receives two paid days each year to volunteer with the organizations and causes that matter most to them.
We are proud to highlight a few of the meaningful ways our teams give back to their communities.
Team members participated in a unique internal volunteer opportunity, Volunteer-in-a-Box. They assembled and distributed more than 400 care packages, supporting a wide range of local organizations and individuals within their communities.

Employees volunteers with Serve Ethiopians Washington (SEW) and Green Seattle Partnership at Be’er Sheva Park to remove invasive Himalayan blackberry bushes. By cutting back dense overgrowth, team members helped restore space for native vegetation and improve accessibility for healthier, more sustainable growth.

Team members volunteered at the West Chester Community Center, contributing to the Community Supported Agriculture Garden and completing landscaping efforts that support programs in civic engagement, arts, recreation, and education.

Team members partnered with Feeding Tampa Bay to organize and sort cold-storage food donations, helping provide critical resources to families across the region and support the fight against food insecurity.

Employees participated in a career fair at Forest Hill Elementary School, working with 3rd–5th grade students by connecting their interests in drawing, building, and organizing to future careers in architecture, engineering, and construction (A/E/C).

Employees supported the Fairmount Park Conservancy by weeding and mulching native trees, removing invasive species, and picking up trash to help protect the environment.

Team members from the Greater Philadelphia area spent Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service volunteering at the Potter-Thomas School in Philadelphia, PA. Together, the group refreshed the school cafeteria by repainting the walls, helping create a brighter, more welcoming space for students and staff.

Employees in our Kent, WA, office took part in a clean-up event on their adopted street. Each quarter, Kent team members participate in this effort to give back to their community while helping prevent contaminated materials from entering local storm drainage systems and waterways.

Employees from our Tampa, FL office volunteered with Feeding Tampa Bay. The team helped pack and prepare meals for individuals and families in their local community, supporting the organization’s mission to fight hunger and expand access to nutritious food.

Team members from our West Chester, PA office volunteered with Cradles to Crayons. The nonprofit provides essential items such as clothing, shoes, school supplies, and books to children experiencing homelessness or living in low-income or poverty situations, helping ensure they have what they need to thrive.

At Core States Group, giving back is part of who we are. Through our Days of Service program, our employees continue to strengthen communities, support important causes, and put our Value of Service into action.
