Chris brings more than 30 years of industry experience to his role as Director of Planning Services.  He leads a multidisciplinary department of professional planners, permitting and compliance specialists, and landscape architects with extensive experience working in jurisdictions throughout the country.

Under Chris’ leadership, the professional planning staff provides expert consulting services in site planning, due diligence, land use entitlements, and construction permitting. Team members are skilled project managers and client advocates who work closely with clients and public agencies to navigate complex regulations and advance projects through the approval process.

The company’s permitting and compliance specialists manage construction permitting for new development and provide ongoing post-construction regulatory compliance services. Working with agencies nationwide, this team has particular expertise in fuel station permitting and compliance.

The department’s landscape architects prepare construction-ready landscape and irrigation plans for a broad range of commercial, industrial, and residential projects. The team also produces professional presentation graphics to support project design, entitlements, and client communications.

Chris is passionate about building strong teams, mentoring employees, and helping people grow in their careers. He values building lasting client relationships and enjoys resolving difficult design and regulatory challenges on complex projects.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys watching sports, especially cheering on the University of Washington Huskies, playing golf, kayaking, and spending time with family and friends.
