James brings his passion for drawing and 30+ years of design expertise to his role as Director of Architecture – Financial.  As most of his experience has been in retail banking design, James thrives on the ever-evolving nature of the industry by guiding the design process to help banks seek new opportunities to enhance the customer experience, modernize their brand, and implement new technologies.

James works with leaders from various disciplines to maximize the opportunities available for Core States Group’s multidisciplinary team, building on their industry experience and encouraging open communication and transparency. His leadership style centers around mentorship, and he actively guides and develops the skills of his team members, especially interns and those new to their careers. Under his mentorship, many individuals have advanced their careers and achieved significant milestones.

James holds a steadfast belief in the importance of Core States Group’s Value of Service, as providing excellent service means his team is communicating effectively and exceeding client expectations. Outside of work, James enjoys spending time with his family, drawing, and staying active by playing sports like volleyball and pickleball.
