Josh Harlan, Vice President – Civil at Core States Group, oversees the civil engineering department. Josh previously served on the Board of Directors at Barghausen Consulting Engineers, collaborating with his fellow executives to manage business operations. Throughout his career, he has designed and managed a wide variety of land development projects, ranging from small site commercial retail centers, quick-serve restaurants, fueling stations, and accessibility improvements to public infrastructure projects throughout the United States. Josh has assembled teams around multisite expansion programs that were built to scale services with his clients’ growth plans. His philosophy when it comes to client service is to give clients, their brands, and projects the same level of dedication as if they were an extension of our own business.

In his current role at Core States Group, Josh leads the civil engineering department while collaborating on the integration of Barghausen and Core States Group employees. As a member of Core States Group’s Senior Leadership Team, Josh prioritizes cultivating connections, providing opportunities for staff advancement, and delivering a heightened standard of service to clients.
