Michael brings more than 30 years of experience in architecture, design, and construction to his role as Director of Design Studio at Core States Group. Throughout his career, he has supported major national brands and organizations in both consulting and in-house leadership roles. That perspective informs his understanding of client priorities, the value of strong consultant partnerships, and the role design can play in advancing broader business goals.

Michael began his career in architecture before moving into in-house roles, where he led retail architecture, design, and construction initiatives. His experience with organizations including Yum! Brands, JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, and Raising Cane’s gives him firsthand insight into the need to align brand, operational, and development priorities through practical design solutions.

As Director of Design Studio, Michael leads a dedicated design practice that complements Core States Group’s multidisciplinary capabilities. His long-standing work in the industry has given him a deep understanding of the people, priorities, and work that drive successful client outcomes. He believes thoughtful design, strong collaboration, and a clear understanding of client needs lead to meaningful results.

Michael’s work reflects a return to his architectural roots and a longstanding commitment to the next generation of professionals. He is passionate about mentoring designers as they grow in their careers and supporting the continued growth of the design field.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys art, cooking, sports, and renovation. His passion for architecture extends into his personal life, including a two-year restoration of a late-1800s building in Pewee Valley, KY, which he transformed into professional and commercial spaces.
