Core States Group is proud to announce that we have been awarded the 2024 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award – the highest U.S. government recognition to employers for support of National Guard and Reserve employees.

On August 22, members of our team attended the awards ceremony at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. where Core States Group was honored as one of only 15 organizations selected from a pool of over 1,750 nominees. This prestigious recognition is awarded to companies that go above and beyond the requirements of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) to support their National Guard and Reserve employees.

2^nd Lt. Kyle Vance, who serves in the Army National Guard and as Project Manager – Electrical at Core States Group, nominated the company for this award. He stated, “Core States Group’s exceptional dedication in providing support for my career and military responsibilities has made it easier for me to maintain balance. Their commitment to job security, constant communication, and comprehensive benefits for my family is truly outstanding.”

This recognition, along with previous honors such as the ESGR Above and Beyond Award, Pro Patria Award, and several Patriot Awards, reflect Core States Group’s ongoing commitment to supporting service members in their dual roles.
