Core States Group Welcomes Thais Bohli as Director of Architecture – Restaurants

Core States Group – an industry-leading architecture, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) firm trusted by some of the world’s most notable brands – is excited to welcome Thais Bohli as Director of Architecture – Restaurants.

With more than 15 years in architecture, design, and project management, Thais will lead Core States Group’s restaurant architecture programs, support client relationships, mentor team members, and guide projects from early planning through construction. Her background in multi-site restaurant programs, prototype development, and high-volume rollouts gives her a strong foundation for supporting national brands with practical, scalable design solutions.

According to Brent Smith, Vice President, A&E, “We are excited to welcome Thais into this leadership position as our Director of Architecture for Restaurants. She brings the right combination of restaurant program experience, client-side perspective, and steady leadership to the role. Thais understands that successful restaurant programs depend on more than great design; they require thoughtful standards, clear schedules, operational awareness, and disciplined rollout execution. That practical perspective, paired with her ability to lead teams and build trust with clients, will be a strong asset as we continue to grow our restaurant market.”

Prior to joining Core States Group, Thais held architecture and design leadership roles for brands including Denny’s and Walgreens, where she supported architectural standards, pre-construction decision-making, consultant coordination, and multi-market rollout execution. She also spent more than a decade with The Chesapeake Design Group, managing restaurant projects.
