Amanda Graham

Project Designer - Electrical

"I’m a naturally creative person and being an electrical designer allows me to use my creativity in a unique way. I also really enjoy collaborating with each of the disciplines needed on a project. Bouncing ideas and solutions around as a team is a great learning experience for everyone involved. Driving down the road and seeing a project I was a part of is a pretty cool feeling."

Carolyn Quackenbush

Project Designer - Structural

"I took an architectural drafting class in high school which sparked my interest. I earned degrees in architectural engineering and civil engineering from Drexel University and right after college I worked in structural design but it wasn’t until I joined Core States a year and a half ago that I really had the opportunity to explore this career path."

Rachel Berkow

Senior Project Designer - Electrical

"I’ve always enjoyed coming up with creative solutions and figuring out how things work with a hands-on approach. Engineering was a logical career choice for me. My passion for renewable energy comes from my desire to leave the world a little better than I found it. When I started working as a solar designer right out of college, I immediately knew I had found my passion and career focus."

Project Designer - Structural

"So much goes on behind the scenes before a project is built. Structural engineers spend hours determining calculations, developing details, attending site visits, etc. Every project is so different and seeing the final constructed product is an empowering experience. It makes me proud of every project I touch."

Helene Rubina

Project Designer - Civil

"I enjoyed mathematics and science in high school, so I decided to pursue engineering. I made it a point to ask a lot of questions during my college courses. I began my career as a structural designer, but I switched to civil because I was interested in water, grading, parking, ADA ramps, etc. There are endless methods of solving problems."

Nalah Williams

Project Designer - Civil

"At my high school, we were fortunate to have a career and technology center that offered engineering courses to take before college. After college, I interned doing construction management alongside mostly men—there were only two other women I worked with. Now, at Core States, I get to design things that I can be proud of—it’s an opportunity for me to improve our society."
