Our internship program helps students explore career paths, build professional connections, and discover opportunities for future growth with Core States Group.
Interns contribute to real projects that support our teams, clients, and communities while gaining valuable experience in their field.
Interns have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, build confidence, and develop skills that support their career journey.
We value the energy, perspective, and creativity interns bring to our teams, helping us approach challenges in new ways.
Professional growth, real-world experience, and meaningful relationships shaped our interns’ summer experience. Here’s what stood out most to them:

Summer Intern, Washington State University
“The people and professional relationships I gained were unparalleled. The technical depth of all the employees here also has a major impact on my learning with CAD, plus getting comfortable with the real-world working experience.”
Summer Intern, University of Washington
“The people—without a doubt. I can’t emphasize enough how genuine, kind, and professional everyone is here. We can have meaningful conversations one moment, then laugh and share a gif the next. It’s rare to find a workplace where camaraderie and professionalism go hand in hand.”
Summer Intern, University of Arkansas
“Everyone was incredibly welcoming and encouraging of me throughout the summer and answered my uncountable questions throughout it all. I really appreciated getting to work with everyone on the civil team and picked up tips and tricks specifically from each individual.”
Summer Intern, University of Florida
“My favorite part of my internship was all the amazing people I met. Everyone wanted to support my growth as an intern, and a growing civil engineer. There are people I have made lasting connections with (both interns and design engineers) and I cannot thank this internship program enough for giving me the space to build those relationships.”
